Alexander’s photography retirement

I am retiring from photography!

These will be my last portraits & headshots as a professional photographer.

It’s been a great 10 year run and I’d love to celebrate by taking a picture of you!

what

& why?

Back in December 2011, 3 months after redundancies were announced at the company I worked at, I stared my photography journey.

I knew I wanted start a business, but wasn’t sure which business to start. I decided I would not reapply for my job, but put all of my skills (photography being one) in a box and call it Socios Media.

Little did I know the amazing journey that was ahead of me.

Imagine, I never wanted to be called a photographer – but it was in my blood.

I’ve met some amazing people, heard fascinating stories,  photographed over 10000 faces and can call my self an international photographer.

Well, a new chapter awaits and I have decided to hang up my photography boots and past the batten on to the next generation of creative change makers.

The Next chapter: More effort in to developing people, ideas and having an impact.
I am heavily involved in projects in West Africa. Projects that are bigger than me and my dreams. Projects that can have impact beyond boarders and shores.

Will I ever take another photo? I’m not the Michael Jordan of photography, but I’m sure MJ still shoots some hoops. I too will be shooting at some point. Liked what I did there?
